Portland's own Modelup.tv has partnered with Portland Art Institute, Paul Mitchell The School, and Club 915 for a special event, Take it to the Runway. Tuesday November 10th, 2009 at Club 915, 915 SW 2nd Ave Portland, OR doors open at 6:30. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit Letty Owings Center, a local women and childrens shelter. In addition they will be accepting donations of clothing for women and children to benefit the shelter. There will be two runway shows featuring clothing designed by the up and coming designers from the Portland Art Institute. The pieces will be shown on the runway by Modelup.tv's own models. The Models hair will be done by the up and coming hair designers from Portland's Paul Mitchell The School. This is going to be a fantastic event collaborated by four local companies to benefit one local charity. This event uses great resources that will make Take it to the runway to the front of fashion with the innocative minds of Portland Art Institute and Paul Mitchell The School. The founder of Take it to the Runway, Gene Newell Jr. owner of Modelup.tv has a true passion for helping others and hopes the success of this benefit will make it an annual event. Raffle Tickets will be sold for prizes such as car detailing and massages with the proceeds benefiting the Letty Owings shelter The entrance fee is $12. The early show starts at 7pm and the late show will start at 9pm. Advanced tickets can purchased through Ticketmaster.
