The McKinely High School Glee Club is getting a new member in this Wednesday's episode. The surprise hit series Glee will be welcoming recent Emmy winner Kristen Chenoweth as April Rhodes, a high school drop out looking to relive her glory days from Glee Club past. When Glee coach Will Schuester , played by Matthew Morrison, finds out that other competitive teams use older members during competitions, he is eager to bring April on board to help fill the black hole left by Rachel (Lea Michele).
The Broadway veteran seems to fit perfectly into the cast of talented unknowns. Chenoweth told Tulsa World, " Talent inspires me. In inspiring them, they have inspired me."
As to whether this is a one time guest spot, or if we will see April Rhodes roaming the halls of McKinely in the future, there is some encouraging news for fans of the vocal powerhouse. "I would love to come back and do more. It's written so I could. So I'll just leave it out there like a lingering B-flat."
Glee also stars Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Cory Monteith and Jessalyn Gilsig. Glee airs Wednesday night on Fox at 9:00 PST.
