Aspirin treats symptoms of the common cold!

New research in nine studies using nonsteroidal anti-infl ammatory drugs (NSAIDs) [aspirin and ibuprofen] shows that they are effective in reducing many of the symptoms of the common cold.

Symptoms such as headache, ear pain, and muscle and joint pain were the types of pain most significantly reduced. Reach for the medicine cabinet and take out aspirin or ibuprofen, drink plenty of liquids and rest.

These methods work better than any prescription drugs. Sneezing, coughing and dripping nose is also reduced by this common household method. A great tip for the cold wet Winter of 2009-2010 predicted for Houston
