
Previously, we learned how to make a craft to teach kids about the birth of Esau and Jacob.Today we will look at another episode in the life of the twins, which is the story of Esau hastily giving his rights as the firstborn in exchange for a bowl of lentil stew.
Materials:
Making Friends character and accessory template
Crayons
Scissors
Googly eyes
Glue
Red lentils (or regular lentils if red cannot be found)
Steps:
1. Print some bible characters and clothing from Making Friends.
2. Color the printouts and cut out the characters and their clothing.
3. Put googly eyes on the cutouts of Jacob and Esau (optional).
4. Draw a pot on a sheet of construction paper. If you can't draw a pot, use a circle of black construction paper.
5. Glue the lentils to the pot to make red lentil stew.
6. Add in the cutouts of Jacob and Esau.
7. Draw in a bow and arrow for Esau and a spoon for Jacob.
