Each one of us has been affected by breast cancer in some way. How has breast cancer touched your life?
Ilona Sanchez, an employee at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt School Publishers in Orlando speeds around the office all day long servicing the Customer Service team. She does a lot of “behind the scenes” duties such as picking up and distributing faxes, filing orders, bringing coffee to those who can’t leave their posts, and arbitrating difficult situations. She is a very valuable employee. But her most valuable duty to date came as she announced that she plans to walk at the annual “Make a Stride Against Breast Cancer” this coming Saturday, October 31st at Lake Eola in Orlando. Ilona was touched by breast cancer because her Godmother is now an eight year survivor. When she heard about her co-worker, Judy Hendey at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt having just been diagnosed with breast cancer, Ilona decided to take action. Click here to make a donation.
