The range of management skills needed in today's workplace is as diverse as management staff itself. The combination of these skills and the extent to which they impact people determine a manager's ability to motivate people to superior performance. The efficiency and effectiveness of a manager's people will in most cases affect the upward mobility and future status of that manager.
