Insurance has to be one of the most boring topics in the world. That is, unless you live in an earthquake prone-area where you'll be glad you're insured in case the big one happens. I buy earthquake insurance, because I live in an area (Seattle) that is susceptible to earthquakes. I just got my earthquake renewal notice and was shocked at the cost: $1,005 a year!
So, I thought I'd throw the cost out to real estate pros and the Zillow community to see what they thought:
Is buying earthquake insurance worth it?
Several insurance agents joined in, which was nice. The comments are across the board, but it's certainly worthwhile to get the pulse of the community.
Here's a good article that covers disaster insurance in case you need a primer.
