On Sunday, December 6, 2009 through the efforts of Carol Nigro and her good friend, professional musician Mr. Jimmy Pagano, the Autism Society of Broward (ASB) will be the beneficiary of the Sunset Blue On 33rd, Fort Lauderdale Florida Block Party, featuring Pink Floyd Tribute Band "SIGMOND FLOYD".
Sunset Blue is a weekly music street festival which takes place every Sunday on NE 33rd Street in Fort Lauderdale, just West of A1A and North of Oakland Park Blvd. 33rd Street is closed to traffic and each of these block parties has live bands, food & beverage and booths from local shops. There is no entrance fee.
Mr. Pagano was instrumental in obtaining the support of Clear Channel Radio Program Director Mr. Jerry Hester, Ms. Cathy Vassallo who owns Fishtails on 33rd Street, Ms. Candice owner/proprietor of the 33rd Street Wine Bar, the featured act - Pink Floyd Tribute Band "SIGMOND FLOYD", and many others to assist in raising funds for the Autism Society of Broward. ASB is very excited about this event and are very grateful to have such a fine lineup of folks joining them.
ASB is currently seeking volunteers to help out with rounding up silent auction items & raffle prizes and other general duties. If you have any connections with an amusement company that would be willing to donate games and things like bounce houses etc. please let them know. If you or anyone you know would be interested in donating goods and/or services for the silent auction please contact Hugh Keough at hkeolaw1@gmail.com or on Facebook.
This will be an exciting night for people of all ages to enjoy in Fort Lauderdale. Listen for public service announcements on the radio. Tell your friends. Come to the show! ASB also extends gracious thanks to Carol, Jimmy, and everyone associated with Sunset Blue on 33rd, Fort Lauderdale for their generosity and enthusiam.
