
Maclaren USA is recalling almost 1 million strollers because of potential injury to children that has resulted in fingertip amputations. Parents need to stop using the strollers immediately until the repair kit has fixed the problem. The recall includes double and single Maclaren USA strollers.
Maclaren USA Recall
Maclaren USA strollers are being recalled because the strollers' hinge mechanism can lacerate and even amputate a child's fingers. The problem can occur during opening and closing the stroller or if the hinge is played with by the child.
Almost 1 million strollers are being recalled. The single and double strollers included in the recall are:
The word Maclaren is printed on the stroller.
The strollers were sold from 1999 through November 2009 for between $100 and $360 from Babies R Us, Target and other major retailers nation wide.
Parents should stop using the stroller and order the repair kit from Maclaren.
