Over the course of the last two days, the United Football League's Florida Tuskers have signed two more veteran NFL players. Both players have spent time with QB Brooks Bollinger.
With WR Chas Gessner out for the year, the Tuskers had to replace him in the receiving corps. His replacement comes in the form of a former national champion with the USC Trojans, Keary Colbert. Colbert has spent five seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Carolina Panthers. Most recently Colbert saw action with the Detroit Lions. Colbert was member of the Lions this preseason, as was Bollinger.
G Dan Buenning comes to the Tuskers with both NFL experience and experience protecting Bollinger. Buenning and Bollinger were teammates at Wisconsin for two seasons. Buenning is known to local fans for his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buenning spent last season with Chicago.
To make room for Buenning, recently signed C Ben Wilkerson was released.
