Not really into the Super Bowl? Maybe the thought of taking your child to a noisy, crowded, tipsy party where they are expected to entertain themselves and behave for 3+ hours while a football game plays on TV is a bit much for you.

Wild Dreams Overnight
Families with children can enjoy an exciting night at the Downtown Aquarium to explore the exhibits, learn about the animals, make a craft, and more. Bring a sleeping bag and snooze among the sharks and rays. Event cost includes admission to the Aquarium, a t-shirt, snack, and breakfast. One adult chaperone per five children admitted free. In honor of the Super Bowl, Kids Bowl IV features sports-themed games and activities throughout the museum. Players can participate in a mascot scavenger hunt, face painting, games, crafts, and other exciting surprises. Children can warm up with some jumping jacks in the bouncing fun house before they test their free-throw skills against the clock and their accuracy with a quarterback toss. Other games include putt-putt, skiing lessons, and more.

I hear that most gyms and rec centers are virtually empty during the Super Bowl, so if you can get someone else to watch your kids for an hour or two and you don't mind missing the game, you might find you have such a place practically to yourself! Ah, a peaceful workout...now THAT'S worth missing a football game for!
