The UFO Traffic Report for Wednesday, October 21, 2009, includes 7 selected sightings over 7 states, according to witness statements filed in the past 48 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page. The following reports and their headlines are unedited and uninvestigated.

FL, October 20, 2009 - spotted something on scenic hwy. MUFON Case # 20048.

A Florida witness with an autistic son both watched a triangle-shaped, silent object moving slowly just about 100 feet in the air and a few hundred feet away. They report the size of the object as about 200 feet long and 75 feet wide. The two were driving south on Scenic Highway and stopped at Hyde Park drive to get a better look. The object sported white lights at its edges and an orange light at the rear.

CA, October 19, 2009 - Huge triangle over me, moving slow with three red lights. MUFON Case # 20046.

A California witness was outside (near FAT) when something unusual popped up in the night sky. "I looked back up and saw something huge, dark as the night sky, moving from north to the south, three red lights forming a triangle with one flashing light on the left side. It was moving slow and there was sound like a jet engine. This thing was huge. I can't say how huge or high it was because it's hard to guess. If I tried to guess, I'd say it was 200 ft and the size of a football field." The witness lost sight of the object as it passed over his roof traveling south.

HI, October 18, 2009 - Rising white, elongated rectangle. MUFON Case # 20042.

A Hawaiian witness driving with family at 9:30 a.m. watched "a perfect elongated rectangle with no other visible markings" that appeared from nowhere and moved upward in a straight line until it was no longer visible.

MN, October 10, 2009 - 5 spheres in a diagonal line. MUFON Case # 20041.

A group from Minnesota watched five spheres in a staight line moving across the sky. A second group of friends also witnessed the object. "I couldnt tell how far it was off the ground and we compared it to the surrounding stars and it was multiple times bright than any star in the sky."

AZ, October 17, 2009 - Bright orange color object(s) seen transiting slowly; then instantly disappears; then it reappears shortly later; flashes a bright light, then totally disappears. MUFON Case # 20039.

This Arizona witness watched a bright orange object moving slowly across the sky - which seemed to disappear instantly. The object reappeared again a few minutes later, but quickly diaappeared again.

NH, October 19, 2009 - 3 bright lights with flashing colors. MUFON Case # 20037.

Witnesses at Madbury watched three bright, white lights with "with flashing red light on bottem center and yellow, green and blue flashing lights on the sides."  The object was described as spinning, but remaining stationary in the sky. They also reported a loud humming noise - like what you might hear if you were standing next to a transformer.

TN, October 8, 2009 - saw a very large ufo over our house. MUFON Case # 20059.

A Jonesborough, Tennessee, couple had an encounter with a disc-shaped object at about 10 a.m. The woman described the object as being larger than their home, white, and "shaped like a disk with dome shaped top." The couple left their home and spotted the object about one-half mile away. The husband stated that at first he thought the object was an "airplane seen from the side, but it was motionless and silent." They then observed that the object "went from being motionless to assuming a constant speed." They point out that the object did not slowly accelerate, "it just assumed a speed or velocity. it changed course, moved away from us quickly went to a distant point of light."
