Boy fishing by bjearwicke/Sxc.huThis

This weekend families can fish for free in Massachusetts. Thanks to the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, no fishing license is required to fish a body of water in Massachusetts on Saturday, June 6, 2009 or on Sunday, June 7, 2009.

Take this free weekend to explore the joys of fishing with your family. If you all enjoy it and want to make fishing part of your summer recreation, consider investing in a fishing license. A fishing license helps support fish stocking in Massachusetts lakes and ponds.

For more information please contact the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, 1 Rabbit Hill Rd, Westborough, MA 01581. Phone: (508) 389-6300; Fax: (508) 389-7890. Website: Mass.gov/dfwele/dfw.
