Cape Cod and fireworks for the 4th of July are here, are you ready? Summer has been peaking through the clouds and may finally be here to stay. Here are all the places where you can enjoy 4th of July fireworks on Cape Cod and the the Cape Cod Islands, on the weekend of July 4, 2009.

Please note that the Bourne 4th of July fireworks have been cancelled.

Mashpee, MA: Mashpee jumps to the head of the line with a Wednesday fireworks show at 9pm. Residents are invited to bring their own picnics and come early, at 5pm to eat and be entertained. The fireworks show is at 9pm at Mashpee High School.

East Dennis, MA 4th of July Fireworks - The East Dennis fireworks are shot off over Sesuit Harbor at approximately 9pm.

Orleans, MA - Head to Rock Harbor for the Orleans July 4th Fireworks over Rock Harbor at approximately 8:30pm. The rain date for the Orleans July 4th Fireworks is Sunday July 5, 2009.

Barnstable, MA:- 9pm at Veterans Beach on North Street in Barnstable. Limited parking will be available as Old Colony Road and Ocean Street will be under parking bans. Carpool, walk or bike to Bismore and Aselton Parks for the best views of the Barnstable 4th of July fireworks.

*New* Buzzards Bay, MA: The town’s 3rd annual Fourth of July parade is scheduled for July 4 at 10 a.m., rain or shine. The parade will begin at the intersection of Academy Drive and Main Street, and will make its way to the Bourne Veterans Community Building about a mile away.www.bourneonthe4thofjuly.org.

Edgartown, MA: July 4, 2009 - 9pm at Memorial Wharf. Rain date: Sunday, July 5, 2009.

Falmouth, MA: around 8:30pm at Falmouth Heights Beach on Grand Avenue in Vineyard Sound in Falmouth, MA. Rain date: Sunday, July 5, 2009.

Hyannis, MA: July 4, 2009: 8pm at Lewis Bay, Hyannis, MA.

Provincetown, MA: Fourth of July Fireworks: at dusk (around 9pm) at Provincetown Harbor, Provincetown, MA.

Sandwich, MA: Fireworks begin at  9pm at Sandwich High School, 365 Quaker Meeting House Road, Sandwich.
