Roger Fedferer and Novak Djokovic continued on course to an anticipated meeting in Sunday's finals of the Swiss Indoor tennis tournament in Basel, Swtizerland.

Federer, playing in his first tournament since the U.S. Open, has won his three matches in this tournament easily, and that includes Friday's 6-3, 6-2 quarterfinal win over Evgeny Korolev.

Federer, who has won 17 straight matches in this tournament in his home country, figures to get to the finals because his semifinal opponent on Saturday will be Marco Chiudinelli, who is ranked No. 73 in the world.

Djokovic, the world's No. 3 player, did not have it so easy.   He survived his Friday quarterfinal match against Stanislas Wawrinka, the world's No. 21-ranked player, who needed only to win a tight, second-set tie-breaker to pull off the upset. But Djokovic won the tie-breaker, 7-5 and then blew through Wawrinka in the third set for a 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-2 victory.

Djokovi will play Radek Stepanek in Saturday's semifinals, hoping to get a shot at Federer in Sunday's finals.
