Everyone has had to sit and think of all the words they would say to someone in their love letter. What if it was automatic? Then no doubt you would be referring to the band Automatic Loveletter. Formed in Tampa, Florida during 2007 by vocalist Juliet Simms, drummer Daniel Currier. The band is an emotionally driven acoustic rock group that pulls no punches when it comes to lyrics that will hit the heart of any listener.

The band was originally called Stars and Scars, but changed their name by the time they got to Bamboozle in 2008. That same year they played at the Vans Warped Tour and although the tour has in the past been primarily male punk driven Automatic Loveletter set themselves apart from the rest with Simms vocals drawing a crowd from all over the scene. The LA times ran an article around that time saying "Paramore is the female-fronted draw of the day here at Bamboozle Left, but Automatic Loveletter's Juliet Simms more than held her own on the Nokia Ticket Rush stage. Clad in an obligatory black hoodie and strumming an acoustic guitar, she wailed her way through a frenetic half-hour set split by a solo acoustic ballad. Get this band on a main stage and she’ll be receiving automatic love letters by the truckload."

Since that time Simms has contributed her vocals to several other bands such as “Lovehatehero”, “Cartel”, “Secondhand Serenade”, and “All Time Low”. The band has released 2 EPs which were “Recover” in 2007/2008 and “Automatic Loveletter” which was released in 2009. They are currently signed to RCA and are in the works of producing their first studio full length album.
