Looking for something special to do on the upcoming Friday the 13th? Head to Tucson, Arizona for the TusCon 36 Science Fiction Convention. This year the convention will be held November 13-15, 2009 at the Inn Suites Hotel in Tucson. TusCon has been nicknamed “The Best Little Sci Fi, Fantasy, and Horror Convention in Arizona.” In addition to regular convention programming, TusCon has a dealer’s room, an art show, a gaming room, and a ConSuite where food and drinks are served to the guests attending the convention.

Arizona ghost hunters and paranormal investigators might note that the newest team member from Syfy Channel’s Ghost Hunters International, Paul Bradford, will be one of the guest speakers at the convention. Bradford will be leading a session on ghost hunting equipment and techniques. Being somewhat of a “paranormal MacGyver”, you won’t want to miss seeing his latest inventions. Paul is the co-founder of Arizona’s Sonoran Paranormal Investigations based in the Tucson area. I’ve had the pleasure of working on an investigation with Paul in the past. Together with 2 additional teams, we were the first paranormal investigators to seek the ghosts in the Avenue Hotel in Douglas AZ.

Bradford will be doing an additional session on “Ghost Stories Q & A” and co-hosted by “Tucson Ghost Girl” Rebecca Petithory-Hayes. Rebecca will conduct an early evening ghost tour of down town Tucson Saturday night at 6PM. It is a 2 ½ hour tour of Tucson’s most haunted places. Be sure you bring your good walking shoes and dress for the evening weather. Ghost tour is an additional $5 fee.

TusCon has sessions for ghost hunters, Sci Fi & fantasy buffs and aspiring writers, too. You can purchaser artwork, jewelry, book, videos, and anything popular in the Sci Fi universe. Check the convention sponsor web site for updates on speakers, agenda, and special events. http://tusconscificon.com
