On Sunday, July 26, author Julie Spira hosted a Singles Day Spa and Book Signing event at the beautifully designed Tikkun Holistic Spa in Santa Monica where singles relaxed, shared dating experiences and enjoyed a complimentary VIP Spa Day pass.
After going out on more than 250 dates over the span of 15 years, Spira has a plethora of dating experiences to share, including four marriage proposals, two of which she got engaged and another of which she married and later divorced. She has rightfully earned the title of Cyber-Dating Expert.

In fact, Spira even wrote about her various online encounters in a new tell-all memoir, "The Perils of Cyber-Dating: Confessions of a Hopeful Romantic Looking for Love," from the "New York Transplant" who told her she looked like his dead wife and the "Neurologist" who ended their engagement in an email, to the "Tennis Pro" who discussed the details of his colonoscopy over lunch and the "Latin Lover" who was like her real life "Mr. Big".
Through wit and humor, Spira's book aims to educate singles young and old about the harsh reality of online dating. In her book, she reveals tips on safety, creating an effective online dating profile and how to identify the red flags of a two-timing player. She also helps singles navigate the Web with her personal rules of "netiquette" for online dating.

"It's like Sex and the City in the Web 2.0 world," said advice columnist E. Jean Carroll of Elle Magazine and AskEJean.com.
This inspiring book is a definite must-read, particularly if your hope in ever finding love online is beginning to wane. Whether you're into online dating or just need a good laugh, there is sure to be something for everyone. While women will learn the ropes of Internet dating, men will learn all the things that turn off classy women.
Spira even teaches singles the tricks of the trade by listing out common profile definitions and their hidden meanings for both men and women. It's hilarious!
The top three things Spira wants singles to learn most from this book are:
Love is only a mouse-click away if you know the rules, trust your heart and play it safe. Hope is not lost.
