The Holiday Spot

Mineral Wells, Texas, local retailers are hosting an event for this holiday season, Christmas Shop Local and Win. Over 50 area merchants are participating in the event with the hopes that residence will do their holiday shopping locally. This event will begin November 1st, 2009 and end on December 23rd, 2009.

Participating merchants in, and around Mineral Wells, are offering the chance to win a $250, $500, or even $1000 shopping spree by shopping with them. Participating is easy, just shop at any of the participating merchants. For each increment of $5.00 (pre-tax) spent, the merchant will stamp your punch card. When you have purchased a total of $300, simply bring your punch card to the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce to enter your card in the drawing. The drawing for the shopping sprees will be held at the Chamber at noon on December 24th. Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce , 511 E. Hubbard St , Mineral Wells, TX.

It is a difficult time for nearly everyone, with the economy the way that it is, it is important to remember the locally owned "mom and pop" merchants. Support your local stores this holiday season, while doing so you will be supporting the local economy, which benefits all of us.
