Weatherford, TX Farmers Market

With the holidays just around the corner, Fall is a time that most people start to take an inventory of the things that they are grateful for. In the tradition of thankfulness and a good harvest, we can look towards our home towns for a wonderful example of this bounty. Weatherford, Texas has its very own farmers market that is open 7 days a week, 8:00am to 6:30 pm, year round. You can find this open air market at 217 Fort Worth Highway Weatherford, Texas, conveniently located across the street from the First Monday Trade Days, and just up from the Parker County Courthouse.

The Farmers Market traditionally supports the local farmers of the area, offering its supporters a wide variety of the freshest seasonal fruits and vegetables possible. Due to the growing season and availability of items some of the produce is not locally grown, so if you are one up for shopping "Local" ask which items are from the area.

Some of the famous locally grown seasonal items include the deliciously sweet Parker County Peach and the Black Diamond Watermelon. You can even find a selection of farm fresh eggs, and beautiful live plants.

Looking for that unique gift, with the idea of homemade in mind? Look no further than the many items, with local labels, that can be found at this wonderful market. Homemade preserves, canned fruit, salsa, beef jerky, pralines, peanut brittle, even honey made by our local bees. You will also beable to find a variety of locally made arts and crafts.  Don't forget to look for Dublin Dr. Pepper in the old fashioned soda pop bottles. There is truly something for everyone.

During the holiday season the farmers market is also a wonderful location to look for you seasonal decorations. They offer a variety of cornstalks, pumpkins, squash, and a beautiful selection of Christmas trees.

There is so much offered at the Weatherford, TX Farmers Market that it is hard to list the magic that awaits. This shopping experience is a wonderful way to teach kids where different foods come from, and how different items are made. The market is bursting with colors and scents that will create a wonderful family outting.
