Redfin breaks out their data for the D.C. area for homes between $100,000 and $5 million for September.
Fairfax County, Fairfax City, Arlington County, Alexandria City & Falls Church City, VA
* 1,684 homes sold, up from 1,650 in September 2008
* The median sales price was $375,000, up from $348,250 in September 2008
* The average days on market for homes sold was 63 days, down from 93 days in September 2008
* On average, homes sold at 94.67% of the list price, in September 2008 it was 92.56%
This based on MRIS data for the same period, which I broke out for Arlington earlier this month.
The median home price was up 7.7 percent, although it was down in Arlington during this same period.
Days on market were down 32 percent, and the ratio of sales price to list was almost 95 percent, which is great.
In a previous post, I looked at where Redfin was saying the biggest differential between list prices and sales prices were in Northern Virginia for September.
