Tomorrow is a banner day for CC Sabathia...and for his home-towners, the City of Vallejo. This Bay Area native will be pitching his first World Series game as the starting pitcher for the New York Yankees.
To honor this stellar athlete the North Vallejo Little League is hosting a special World Series viewing event at the Empress Theatre. Festivities kick off at 4:30PM with a walk-down the Red Carpet. Then there will be a lot of hoopla until the first pitch at 5:05PM.
It's a much of a fitting tribute for the North Vallejo Little League organization as it is for Sabathia. Now in its 42nd year, It's been the training ground for several current and former MLB players. Tickets are available for up to 400 attendees, awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
WHEN: Wednesday, 10/28/09, 4:30PM-9:PM, WHERE: Empress Theatre, 330 Virginia St, Vallejo For tickets, access these websites : NVLL website or Empress Theatre
