ORANGE PARK  Clay County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Mary Justino announced on 11/2 that the Justice Coalition and Crime Stoppers' combined reward "for information that leads to the arrest/conviction of Somer Thompson's killer" now stands at $45,000.

Working to deliver justice in the murder of Somer Renee Thompson, 7, while aspects of her death were withheld, her family's plight occupied headlines across the U.S. the Oct. 21 afternoon her body was recovered. Justino related that Clay County Sheriff, Rick Beseler "met at length with a crew" from "America's Most Wanted."

Sheriff Beseler conferred today with a production team from the popular crime-fighting TV show " ... currently ... developing a presentation regarding Somer's case, to "air nationally on Saturday night," Justino announced in a regularly-scheduled briefing.

"America's Most Wanted" features John Walsh, who with wife, Reve, in 1981, lost their son, Adam, also 7, during an abduction from a Sears store in Hollywood, Florida.  In 2008, Adam's murder was officially attributed to serial killer, Ottis Toole, who died during 1996 in a Florida prison.

The upcoming edition of "America's Most Wanted" will be broadcast Saturday,11/7 at 9 PM, EST and 8 PM, CST on FOX. While an attentive audience not only follows the Somer Thompson case, many have empowered the investigation by contributing 2,600 possible leads and almost $50,000 in rewards to date.

In resourceful operations by Sheriff Beseler and his detectives since the case's inception, Somer's body was recovered on 10/21, 2 days after her mother, Diena Thompson, 34, reported her missing from their Orange Park residence.

Somer Thompson's killer is being pursued aggressively in combined efforts from multiple agencies and media outlets, Justino implied on 11/2. The Clay County Sheriff's Office public representative   acknowledged the continued presence of FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and U.S. Marshals, in working with Clay County police, " ... have committed to remaining part of [Sheriff Beseler's] team until Somer's killer is caught."

Clay County police remind the public that the telephone tips line remains open and monitored around the clock. Email is continually reviewed to acquire possible leads regarding the person or persons responsible for Somer Thompson's murder.
