Peter Facinelli's newest (and very successful) television series Nurse Jackie was greenlit for a second season after only one episode (the pilot) made its way to homes across America this summer on Showtime.
While he'd been filming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in Vancouver, British Columbia this fall, Facinelli would travel back and forth to New York City, New York to film episodes of Nurse Jackie, tweeting all the while.
Even today, he tweeted that he was headed back to work on a commercial for the show after having worked on press junkets for The Twilight Saga: New Moon this weekend.
Recently, Ace Showbiz announced that the second season of Nurse Jackie had officially gotten a rundate from Showtime for this spring.
According to them, Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara would be showing back-to-back on March 22nd, with Nurse Jackie showing at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Nurse Jackie chronicles the life of (big surprise) a nurse named Jackie (portrayed by The Sopranos alum Edie Falco) as she tries to stay afloat amidst a life of adultery, drug addiction, and being the best (and probably most controversial) nurse at All Saint's Hospital in New York. Facinelli portrays Dr. Fitch Cooper, a doctor with a bit of an arrogance problem who can't seem to please himself (much less others around him).
Can't wait to see the second season of this hysterical and moving series!
