Denver Summertime Fun This Weekend

Looking to get out with the kids this weekend?  here are some fun outdoor stuff for the family:

5. Cherry Blossom Festival - A celebration of Japanese-American culture, food, music, dance, and arts & crafts.  This takes place every year at Sakura square at 19th and lawrence.  This year there is going to be a Kids area with stuff for the littles to do.  For information go to 303-380-8972 or visit http://www.tsdbt.org/cherryblossom

4.  Thomas and Friends are having a  free  playdate at the Toys R Us at 5650 West 88th Ave. this Saturday.   This is perfect for little engineers, featuring a storytime every half hour, a Thomas and Friends wooden railway play table, coloring fun, and free Thomas trading cards.

3. Also downtown Denver this Saturday at Skyline park (18th and Arapahoe) is a fun Play at the Park.   A family-friendly and FREE summertime entertainment series. Children will be wowed by clowns, puppets, comedy, magic, music and much more! Escape to the city and join in on the fun! Children ages 5 to 10 and a parent or guardian. 2. 100 of our nation's finest artists will show painting, jewelry, pottery sculptures and more. Enjoy relaxing acoustic musical performances all 3 days by Colorado's best musicians at  Littleton Art and Acoustic Music Festival.The address for Aspen grove is 7301 S. Santa Fe. 1.  City Park Jazz is offering free groovin' jazz concert this sunday at 6-8pm by the Michael Friedman Jazz Quintet!  This is a great concert for all ages! Parking available in the Museum of Nature & Science parking garage and lots. 303-744-1004.  Their website is cityparkjazz.org
