From the Files of 'I Can't Tell You How Much I Don't Think So'

June 18, 1:18 AM

How many times have you gone shoe shopping for your baby, and looked at all the soft little booties shaped like Mary Janes and sneakers and stuffed animals and said to yourself, "But where are the shoes that get my infant daughter started on a life of bunions, misshapen toes, and spinal problems in the name of being a sex object?"

Never? Well, me either, but it turns out that someone has. Behold the first high-heeled baby shoe, Heelarious. Because, you know, it's never too early to install a taste for tacky, ugly, dangerous shoes in your baby girls.

Beat back to school Blues in Telluride this weekend

September 8, 11:34 PM
When my boys were very small (the younger one was a toddler) we drove up to Telluride from Durango to catch the Blues and Brews Festival. It was a huge amount of fun, even though it was last minute and we were ill-prepaired. The kids joined a parade... Read More

August 27, 8:06 AM
It's been an interesting few days here, living as I do a stone's throw from downtown. There's nothing like encountering riot-gear-outfitted police on your morning commute, to say nothing of almost running out of gas in the middle of a suprise traffic... Read More
