You're invited to Bowser's Boo Bash! October 3, 2009 at the Salem Conference Center

Bring your heart and wag your tail on October 3 at Bowser’s Boo Bash, Willamette Humane Society’s signature event benefiting the animals. Enjoy a gourmet meal, musical entertainment, and the opportunity to bid on more than 100 silent auction items and 25 luxury packages and unique experiences during the live auction. Spend a spectacular evening with friends and colleagues and help raise the funds that enable Willamette Humane Society (WHS) to rescue and rehabilitate thousands of homeless animals each year. Oh yeah, and come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume!

Although Bowser’s Boo Bash is expected to draw more than 400 community members and WHS supporters, this highly anticipated annual charity event came from very humble beginnings. What began as a dinner party hosted in a loyal volunteer’s home as a way to raise money for the animals has evolved into a full-scale dinner, auction, and costume party now held at the Salem Conference Center. Nearly two decades later, the event continues to grow each year! A huge round of “a paws” goes to the presenting sponsor, Capitol Subaru, as well as Van Duzer Vineyards and Hill’s Science Diet for making this special FUN-raiser possible.

Wondering what you can bid on that evening? How about a glider flight for two? Or a stay in a Treehouse resort? Maybe your inner Rambo wants to test heavy arms at a military ballistics firing range? These and many other unique experiences are up for bid, as well as art, jewelry, family fun packages, golf outings, wine, theatre and sports tickets, fine dining gift certificates, luxurious pet-themed gift baskets and much more. The silent auction kicks off at 4:30 p.m., with dinner and the live auction beginning at 7 p.m.

Hurry! Deadline to purchase tickets is September 24. Tickets are $60 per person and include a delicious gourmet dinner (grilled cajun chicken breast with creamy leek and corn maque choux, andouille red beans and grilled seasonal vegetables), chocolate fudge cake with caramel sauce or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert, wine, micro brew kegs, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. A vegetarian entrée (portabello marsala with portabello mushrooms, marsala, garlic and herbs served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables) is also available. Table sponsorships are $600.

Don’t miss Salem’s social event of the year on October 3!  Costumes are encouraged— mummies, bees, go-go dancers, even “deviled” eggs are welcome— and all are guaranteed to have a ghoulishly good time at Bowser’s Boo Bash!
