OK, ladies. It's Women's Self-Empowerment Week and I'm not telling you what day it ends, because, well, do you really need to know? Don't stop celebrating! But we all could use a little reminder here and there, and it's exciting to see this particular week get some recognition.

The Atheism Examiner is celebrating by posting about women who have stood up to injustices.

How are you celebrating?

My tribute to women's self-empowerment is showing this video trailer from Lipstick & Dynamite and I'm hoping you'll be inspired to rent the movie. It shines light on the first women of wrestling and it's BAD ASS. It reminds us that empowerment is in the eye of the beholder -- even if it means pounding the crap out of another woman in a boxing ring. It'll make more sense when you watch:
