ERIN'S CUP OF KARMA

It’s summertime! Along with catching some sun in your back yard, why not grow some of your very own herbs? They are not as labor-intensive as veggies and all you need is a container, some potting soil, either seeds or plants and a sunny windowsill. It’s really fun to grow stuff from seeds, but seedlings take time and patience to cultivate. They also are very delicate.
I recently roasted a few of my seedlings by leaving them in the sun too long, so I recommend buying a few herbs from your local supermarket, nursery or Whole Foods. Clay pots can be found for cheap at craft stores, and can be easily made into works of art with a permanent marker -- if you’re the creative type.
