Mountaineer/businesswoman will share her journey to the summit at luncheon: Speaker Debbie Welle-Powell, MPA will share her journey to the summit and discuss taking risks, working hard and giving back at the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce Downtown Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Denver Athletic Club 1325 Glenarm Place. Denver lands 2012 Women's Final Four: Denver has been selected as the site of the 2012 NCAA Women’s Final Four, the Metro Denver Sports Commission announced Friday.
Dear President Obama, Qualified Women are Everywhere: ... Yesterday there were new results from Colorado; two more women were elected. That gives Colorado the distinction of being the first state in the nation for women, at 38%. But Vermont and New Hampshire are not far behind, with 37.8% and 37.7% respectively. Once we drop the decimal points, we know that women will have arrived.
Soroptimist seeking outstanding women: Soroptimist of Fort Collins is accepting nominations of outstanding women in Northern Colorado who truly make a difference for women or girls. CU women down Regis: With five players scoring in double figures, the University of Colorado women's basketball team topped Division II Regis 86-44 in a preseason exhibition game Sunday at Coors Events Center in Boulder.
