As pet owners we tend to think our pet is the cutest, funniest, most adorable thing in the entire world. In honor of our pets, every Wednesday a new pet will be selected and featured on this page as pet of the week. If you think your pet is extraordinary and deserves to be named pet of the week, email a picture of your little one with a short biography of how they came into your life and anything unique about them to mplspetcare@gmail.com. Don’t forget to check back every Wednesday to see if your pet has been named pet of the week!
This week’s pet of the week is one year old Bettie. Bettie was adopted into a loving home at the young age of 4 months. By this young age Bettie had already endured things that no dog should ever have to endure. Her life prior to her new home was spent locked in a basement. She was never allowed out to play or to even use the bathroom. Bettie’s life changed dramatically when she was adopted into her forever home. She has adapted very well to her new lifestyle and gets along great with other animals and children. She is now a respected and beloved member of a brand new family. Bettie’s story is great because it shows that animals who have suffered from neglect or abuse can have a great future and can be wonderful additions to families if given the opportunity.
