Lackluster pitching can be good for one’s love life. Just ask Brad Penny.
He got the boot from the Boston Red Sox in late August (you may have heard a collective sigh of relief emanating from the New England area around that time) and was picked up by the San Francisco Giants. There he threw eight shutout innings in his debut (you may have heard a collective W-T-F emanating from the New England area around that time).
Now, Penny has been seen locking lips with Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars, who is newly decoupled from former fiancé and DWTS co-star Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
For Karina’s sake, let’s hope Brad’s performance—hey, interpret that as you wish—is better on the West Coast than it was in Boston.
