The premier chocolate show on the West Coast takes place this saturday at the 3rd Annual San Francisco International CHOCOLATE SALON. Chocolate lovers and friends can experience the “finest in artisan, gourmet & premium chocolate in one of the world's great culinary metropolitan areas”.  Participants include over 50 chocolatiers, confectioners, wineries and other culinary artisans. All this only costs 25$ at the door.
 
If you are worried about calories and other negative health implications of 6 hours of chocolate, look at some of the positive effect, even if some of the research is sponsored by chocolate companies. 
  • Cocoa and chocolate increases the amount of endorphins in your body. That is good especially if the economy is getting you down...

  •  Dark chocolate is known to contain antioxidants that combat cell damage that can lead to tumor growth. These antioxidants occur naturally in the cocao bean we use to make all chocolate products, and may play a role in cancer prevention. It's true, fruits and vegetables have more antioxidants and are lower in fat and calories, but then why don't you just bring along a box of strawberries and bananas? Bam!
     
So, why not spend part of your day drowning in a variety of devastatingly delicious and strange chocolates from around the world? I
