Alanis Morissette will be displaying her vocal talents at the World Series next month.
According to her official website, the “You Oughta Know” hitmaker will be singing the National Anthem at Game 5 of the World Series, scheduled for Monday, November 2nd.
The Ottawa born singer songwriter has been busy performing shows and festivals as well as making TV and radio appearances, promoting her 7th studio album, 2008’s Flavors of Entanglement.
She completed a tour of South America this summer and performed a well received acoustic set to an estimated 60,000 people at the 11th Annual Power to the Peaceful Festival in San Francisco on September 12, 2009.
Since splitting with actor Ryan Reynolds in Feb, 2007, the 35 year old Morissette has been dating environmental lawyer Tom Balanco.
Did you know? Alanis Morissette’s wildly successful 1995 album Jagged Little Pill spent 12 weeks at No 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and became one of only 3 albums – along with Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Céline Dion’s Falling into You – to remain in the top 10 for over a year.
