Readers who’ve listened carefully to the Faster DVD footage may have recognized Ewan McGregor’s voice narrating.  But even watching the entire DVD barely hints at the depth of Ewan's love for motorcycling.  Riders of all types can't help but watch in awe at Ewan and his friend Charley Boorman as they traverse 20,000 miles around the globe in the movie chronicling this adventure: Long Way Round.

As a long-time subscriber and huge fan of Netflix, I stumbled on Long Way Round a couple years ago.  The DVD sat on the player for weeks, but once I popped it in and watched the intro, I was hooked.  53,697 Netflix viewers rate it 4.2 out of 5 stars, but I'd be surprised at any motorcycling fan rating it less than 5 out of 5 stars.

If you don't have Netflix, you can get the three DVD set from Amazon.com from $19.56 (plus shipping).  Or, for those who prefer to read, there's the Long Way Round book.

The chronicle of Ewan and Charley's adventure is inspiring any time of year, but particularly as we struggle through these cold winter days, it is awesome to see what these two and their crew went through to complete their journey.

Viewers (and readers) searching for more, won't be disappointed.  Next up: Long Way Down!
