Since his crash in the final laps at Brno, Jorge Lorenzo (#99) has been demonstrating increasing discipline with every race. With a 3rd place finish today at the Valencia MotoGP, immediately behind teammate Valentino Rossi (#46), and just under three seconds behind the race leader, Dani Pedrosa (#3), Jorge secures his place on the 2009 MotoGP World Championship podium.

While never in much danger after the race in Malaysia (Casey Stoner trailed by 25 points, and could only tie for Jorge’s podium position with a 1st place finish and DNF or no points for Jorge), Jorge wasn’t about to play it safe. Pushing as hard as his Rossi, he matched Pedrosa and Rossi turn for turn to complete the race at Valencia in third, 2nd in the World Championship point standings.
