Java junkies will probably notice a change next time they stop by Starbucks: a new cup. The world’s largest coffee purveyor has introduced a new cup to help launch its mellower bean – Pike Place Roast. The change, while temporary, might be a shock for loyal Starbucks drinkers accustomed to the easy-on-the-eyes green cups. The new cups feature a twin-tailed mermaid and plain brown lettering. I don’t really like the look, but if Starbuck’s goal is to generate some buzz and some earned media, then mission accomplished.
