The Oakland Raiders finally got their first home win of the season and second win overall as they kept Donovan McNabb and the Eagles in check, winning Sunday's game by the score of 13-9.
Quarterback JaMarcus Russell was 17-of-28 passing for 224 yards including an 86 yard touchdown to Tight End Zach Miller. Miller himself had six catches for 139 yards,
McNabb was 22-of-46 passing for 269 yards but the Raiders defense sacked him six times and McNabb did not have a touchdown.
Brian Westbrook had 50 yards rushing on six carries and added nine catches for 91 yards.
Raiders coach Tom Cable had this quote to the media after the win:
"Stop looking to write negative things or worry about all the bs. Let's develop a team and an organization that has struggled to win in the last few years and you don't just flip a switch and do that overnight. you don't wake up the next day and everything's rosy and you're ready to go. There's a process to get there."
Well, the facts are the Raiders have won five games or fewer every season since 2002 and the defense had allowed 96 points during a three game losing streak.
