Calling all zombies. The Zombiewalk.com forum has a posting alerting the undead to come for a flash mob zombie walk at the Gateway Mall, 2 pm, on All-Hallows Eve.  The posting says to "meet at island park in the parking lot 12:00 to 12:30 to get set up." The lack of proper capitalization and punctuation leaves this open  to interpretation.  But it's not bad for a species that commonly can only moan and maybe utter, "Brains....brains..."  For more info: Zombiewalk.com

The official Portland Zombie Walk 2009 was held Oct. 24 in downtown Portland and had 1000 zombies participating. Flickr photos of 2009 Portland Zombie Walk. While the rules of the walk are no littering, there were incidents of people smearing fake blood on storefronts, resulting in two hours of clean-up by concerned walk organizers.  Next year's event will attempt to curtail this.

A zombie walk is an event where people dress as zombies and walk zombie-like over a planned course.
