Hoping to capitalize on a stronger economy than last year, retailers are rolling out pre Black Friday sales in hopes of landing the early holiday shoppers.
Holiday sales were grim last year, and industry experts expect a small rebound this year. One big box retailer I spoke with said, "things will be back to crazy this year."
The likes of Sears, Walmart, and ToysRUs are throwing out ads that are promoting Black Friday prices as early as this weekend. Some toys are already 50% off and Walmart has been touting a massive toy sale upcoming.
Other products expected to be big sellers this year include all types of electronics, laptop computers, and video games. Clothes are expected to show growth, as well as household goods.
Some stores have already leaked their Black Friday ads to generate a buzz, then some were taken down off various websites once it became general knowledge they were out. OfficeMax was one of the ads taken down saying it was accidentally released.
Get ready for stores staying open 24 hours and around the clock savings this year, before November 27, on November 27, and after.
