H1B Visa replacing American Workers
Should US workers be replaced?

In another segment that I wrote here, I discussed H1B Visa workers and the economic impact on business in America.  With Atlantans and Americans grossly out of work, underpaid, and over utilized, this is a topic that definitely strikes at the core of the United States workers.

Obviously, Americans and Atlanta residents are out of work in huge numbers.  Reports from the job fair at the Georgia World Congress Center today are that companies were not even taking applications. They were instead referring people to go apply on line and go to the Georgia Department of Labor website.

I heard from many Americans who were obviously angered at the H1B Visa topic and opinions were to have H1B workers leave the country and let Americans have the job.  Conversely, I heard from some great and hard working H1B workers who are very smart, work hard, and have come from tough areas and tough countries to work hard in America and make something out of themselves.

There are hard working Americans and people from other countries who do great work.  Praise goes to everyone who works hard.  I believe the issue is not who works harder and who stays at the job for 13 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Many people do that no matter what city, state, parish, country, or county they live in.  The issue at hand is this:  should American corporations have a responsibility to hire American citizens first before they hire non-citizens?  Take the poll here.
