Teaching yoga to adults can be one of the most gratifying jobs. Yoga can change the way we view the world and the way we live our lives. Physically, it clears blocked energy in our bodies alleviating back and neck pain, as well as relieving commonly suffered ailments such as insomnia and depression. Emotionally and spiritually, yoga can help us grow to understand our lives in new ways.
Yoga can begin at any age, but yoga in childhood has profound developmental health benefits and will begin a lifelong yogic journey. Sharing yoga with children elevates teaching to a new level. Read more about Asana Alphabet here.
Join founder Ann Robideaux at one of the two trainings offered this fall in New York City to learn the tools to combine games, activities and other fun ways to teach safe and developmentally sound yoga poses, breath work, meditation and relaxation from parent/child to teenage years. Robideaux will demonstrate ways to control the class and how to create lesson plans for an entire academic year. Being a yoga teacher is not a pre-requisite, but some working knowledge of basic yoga poses will help. Learning these techniques can help school teachers and yoga teachers alike.
