Charlotte’s Queen's Feast is back and has expanded from one week to ten days! The last event in January, 2009 generated over $2.1 million in. According to Queen's Feast organizers this translates into 50,000 dinners across 56 participating restaurants. Queen’s Feast: Summer 2009 will run Friday, July 10, 2009 through Sunday, July 19, 2009 with 71 Charlotte area restaurants participating.

Charlotte Restaurant Week or Queen’s Feast typically takes place during a lull in the restaurant industry. During this time various upscale restaurants offer a three-course meal for one price ($30) per person not including tax and gratuity. Participating restaurants are located all over the Charlotte metro area as well as Lake Norman, Belmont, NC and Fort Mill, SC. A complete list of restaurants and their menus is located at www.CharlotteRestaurantWeek.com. Reservations are being accepted now as they are strongly recommended.

The fun doesn’t stop there. In addition to a great deal on an upscale meal, three hotels are partnering with Charlotte Restaurant Week targeting diners with discounted rates and packages. The Doubletree Hotel-Gateway Village, The Westin and The Doubletree Guest Suites are participating. Visit the Accommodations page for more information.

“We hope some folks will expand their dining experience and spend a night or two, or more, in Center City or SouthPark and enjoy all that Charlotte has to offer, “ said Bruce Hensley, president of Hensley Fontana Public Relations Firm, owner of Charlotte Restaurant Week. Hensley continued to say, “We felt that expanding Queen’s Feast over two weekends would give more people a chance to participate during the busy summer travel season.”
