On Jan. 17 there will be an event at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station for the President-elect Barack Obama. Amtrak's 30th Street Station, one of America's finest transportation hubs and a historical landmark in Philadelphia, will be the starting point for the President-elect as he travels by train from Philadelphia to Washington. 30th Street Station

The 137-mile route will be retracing the journey of Abraham Lincoln, who also rode to his inauguration on a train from Philadelphia. Large crowds are expected to gather at many spots, including overpasses, parking lots and commuter train stations, to catch a glimpse of Obama. William Crosbie, the railroad's chief operating officer said” There will be opportunities for people to watch the train go past, and we expect that they will do so."

Be there and become a part of American history.
