You may have seen model/eco-activist Summer Rayne Oakes on the cover of Vanity Fair’s “Green Issue” or perhaps you were lucky enough to be in attendance at Seattle’s Green Fashion Week Runway Fashion Show at Bell Harbor in 2007 where she served as event hostess. Since then, Summer has been busy working to change the perception of “going green” and has written her first book, “Style, Naturally: The Savvy Shopping Guide to Sustainable Fashion and Beauty ”. The book is designed to help fellow fashionista’s navigate the green fashion movement with style. Sections include how to make informed choices when it comes to shopping for beauty and fashion, plus, information on which designers use earth-friendly materials and sustainable practices to produce their products.

The book tour kicked off on February 10th in New York at Stella McCartney’s downtown boutique. It heads to London this week and then returns to the U.S. on March 3rd. The tour includes a stop in Tacoma, Washington on April 30th. Check out the Style, Naturally site for a full list of scheduled tour stops.

Summer’s book is available on Amazon.com
