It’s called the Python and it’s just what you need for that next exciting vacation by the lake or the ocean.

On the road, it will rip from a stop to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and on the water it can travel at speeds above 60 mph.

The builder, WaterCar of Fountain Valley, CA, calls it “the world’s fastest, highest performing amphibious vehicle ever designed and built.”

The brainchild of Dave March, WaterCar founder, the Python is part Corvette with a custom fiberglass body and part speedboat with a state-of-the-art hull design.

On-road power is supplied by the buyer’s choice of a Corvette engine, all the way up to the 640-horsepower mill in the ZR-1. Amphibious duties are handled by a 500-horsepower Dominator jet drive.

The interior is boat-like, with captain’s chairs up front and a wrap-around bench in the rear. Custom-designed doors are built to keep water out and to allow easy access for passengers returning from a swim.

All Pythons are hand-built and the builder will tailor placement of the seat, pedals and shifters to the exact specifications of the owner.

To assure the highest level of individuality, buyers can select from 6,000 exterior colors and 4,000 interior colors and finishes.

Interested? Prices start at $200,000.
