November/December: Upcoming events and lectures on autism topics in the Philadelphia area
November and December are busy holiday months, but several interesting events and lectures are coming up with a focus on learning more about autism, options for coping with the system and other pertinent health care issues as well as fun opportunities for kids.

PhillyHealthInfo and The College of Physicians of Philadelphia is offering a lecture on November 16th on the impact of health care reform and health inequities in light of the legislation that recently passed the House and is going before the Senate. ASCEND (The Asperger Syndrome Alliance for Greater Philadelphia) is offering a workshop on keeping SSI and SSDI benefits while remaining employed for autistic individuals, parents and caregivers on December 5th from 10am to 12pm in Norristown at the Montgomery County Human Services Building at 1430 Dekalb St. More information is available on the ASCEND Regional Events page.
