"Good Morning Cerda Family!" was bullhorned a few days ago from Ty and his designers, but help and contributions are still needed to complete a house for a deserving Las Vegas family.
For those who don't know, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition travels the country making homes for working families in need. For free. Each home is built in seven days, and they are all dream homes. The show sends the family off on a paid week vacation while their home is being demolished and then rebuilt. It's a feel good show that always does just as it advertises.
But not even a tv show can do it all alone. In Las VegasMarch 10-17, 2009, they have contracted the business of Wright Custom Homes and Wright Engineers, and like everywhere they go, encourage and ask for help from the general community. They are still in need of many items. If you would like to paint, please head to the volunteer tent located at Azure and Tenaya in North Las Vegas. Spectators are welcome to come and show your support by bringing signs and cheering the hard workers on. In addition, Three Squares is holding a food drive the entire week, and United Blood Services is hosting a blood drive Moday March 16th, and Tuesday March 17th. If you and your family can contribute in any way, please do so because it will be a blast for a good cause. The reveal will be when the Cerda family arrives home on Tuesday, March 17th between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., news sources said.
Season six of the TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, emphasizes extreme technology and "green" resources incorporated into the houses. The episode featuring our very own Las Vegas family will air on May 10, 2009. See local listings for show times.
