Towers are always memorable sights, and usually offer a good time for visitors.  You go up and observe the world below at a height that is truly frightening.  The Stratosphere, at the north end of the Strip, is no exception.  But this is Las Vegas, and in our grand Strip fashion, the Stratosphere has put amusement park rides at the very top:

  • The "Big Shot" is the highest thrill ride in the world shooting passengers straight up at 45 mph (over 4 Gs) until they reach a height of 1,081 feet above the shimmering skyline.
  • "Insanity, The Ride," the second highest thrill ride in the world at 900 feet above the ground, it extends you 64 feet out over the side of the tower, all the while spinning you at a force of 3 Gs.
  • "X-Scream," the third highest thrill ride in the world is a giant teeter tot that teeters you 27 feet over the edge of the tower with 866 feet below you.

Rising 1,149 feet above the Las Vegas Strip, the Stratosphere, itself, is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States.  The indoor side of the observation deck has a gift shop and miscellaneous vendors.  A revolving restaurant is located at the top.

Tickets to ride to the top of the tower are:

  1. $8 for a child
  2. $10 for a senior, hotel guest, or Nevada state resident
  3. $13.95 for all others.

Extreme thrill rides are $12-$13 dollars for each ride (click here to see a video).  Value passes are available.  Please call for details and other promotions.
