The Las Vegas Strip is a street lined chock full of iconic imagery.  Each world class hotel is built to be a must experience extravaganza, with the most explosive icons becoming the brand ambassadors of Las Vegas.  It's like that time of year when awards are given to the best television commercials; and those commercials are promoted as entertainment, just as much entertainment as the tv shows they are squeezed between.  That is the Las Vegas Strip experience.  It can be advertising at its best, getting the “best return for your buck” advertising.  It's the Super Bowl of Super Bowl advertising.  So, if you’re ready to take a welcome commercial break from your beautiful life, the Mirage has a new volcano for us all to marvel at and enjoy.

The Mirage Volcano recently went through a 25 million dollar redesign by WET (Fountains of Bellagio design firm) and is now a fusion of bombastic sound, star shooting fire, one-of-a-kind music, and erupting liquid heat.  The soundtrack was created by Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and Indian tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain who say they "immersed themselves in the legends and myths, and studied what really makes a volcano work.  The result, a true union of the senses, will rattle your bones, just like a real volcano."

Erupting nightly, every hour on the hour, from dusk until 11p.m.
